Ahhh, the beauty of having Windows Live Writer on the mac again, I love it. So when I bought this machine, I said I would never run Boot Camp, Parallels, or Fusion on it because it only has 2GB of ram that is not upgradeable and who can run a VM with under a 1GB ram dedicated? Well the answer is Windows 7 Starter Edition. How did I come to that conclusion, trial and error. We are prepping for a big event at TechEd 2011 (the announcement will be coming soon) and I needed Windows Live Writer on my...
I stumbled on this feature in Windows Live Writer that will help some of our bloggers, and other bloggers, who want to load previous posts (that might not have been authored with Live Writer) and make changes to them. As part of an effort we are doing at AJI Software to better instruct our bloggers on how to use the software, we will be launching a series of Screencasts, using Camtasia Studio from TechSmith, to help with a few areas of site. I can't emphasis enough that external blogging tools are important to your day-to-day blogging activity. Unlike browsers, these tools allow you to write, stop, and come back and write some more. You can leave the window open all day and just come back when...
If you use Windows Live Writer on Geekswithblogs.net, you will need to update your settings. If you edit the settings on your blog, it will run through the wizard and should find that we are using SubText and autoconfigure your blog. That should be it. I will update the knowledge base article on how to set up your blog from scratch using Windows Live Writer soon. Technorati tags: Windows Live Writer, Geekswithblogs.net | Current Weight: 261.0...
With John and my contribution to an upcoming book (more detail later) and client load for Alexander & Julian Inc., we have been very busy lately. Tonight, I am hoping with the hosting update we will be doing will help stabilize the site and get us back into high performance. The new support system we launched on Geekswithblogs.net has been pretty successful, but not everyone is using it yet. If you have any problems with the site or content of the site, please email support@geekswithblogs.com...
